Vagator Beach In Goa

Walk about a mile up from Anjuna and you’ll reach Vagator Beach. It is divided into three – Big Vagator, Middle Vagator and Little Vagator. The Chapora Fort and then the Chapora Harbour forms the background of the Big Vagator Beach. The Chapora River flows behind Vagator and flows into the sea at the northern end of the beaches.

Buses and taxis ply between Vagator and Mapusa and Panjim. Mapusa is 9km east of the beach. The Little Vagator is a better bet when it comes to enjoying a quiet and relaxed holiday. Into the town, there are Islamic tombs, art galleries, bookshops and temples to visit.

Bean Me Up and Nine Bar are the two best options for a good meal and drink place. The former is the country sole American-run tofu joint. There are many guesthouses and homestays here for accommodation. Some are better than the hotels as they are close to the sea and provide homely food.
