Sinquerim Beach In Goa

The presence of Fort Aguada in the backdrop makes this beach a special one. The fort, built in 1612, stands at one end of the seven-km-long Calangute Beach. The Sinquerim Beach is famous for its freshwater springs. They used to provide drinking water to the crew of the ships that reached these shore centuries ago.

This beach became known as a popular tourist centre in the 1970s. It is a protected area under the government now. Still, there are avenues – sandy coves and hills – where one can relax. The Taj Group has a beautiful resort near the beach. The Nerul river flows just a few kilometres away.
