Nerul Beach In Goa

About an hour from Panjim, and three km from Reis Magos is the Nerul Beach. It is commonly called Coco Beach. In the ancient days, before tourism was so rampant here, Nerul used to be a fishing village. It was predominantly filled with Hindus.

The beach stands close to the Mandovi river’s estuary. And because of that the water is highly brackish and filled with sand.

There are boating facilities near the estuary. You can go crocodile-spotting, too. There are dolphins to be followed as well. It is quite popular to see tourists coming to Coco Beach from Calangute or Candolim in the north. They come here on boat trips. There are shops and market at Nerul, the nearest village.
